The estate:

Les Burdelines is one of the 15 prestigious “climats” listed in Moulin à Vent. This vineyard is located on a plateau of pure granite full of mineral elements, especially manganese. The rock is close to the ground so the roots can extract many oligo elements that will add complexity and structure to this “climat”.

The grapes are dense and composed of small berries that bring a high skin/juice ratio. This allows a good extraction of the colour, the tannins and the aromas. The maceration process lasts 15 days, with pumping over. The wine matures partially in wooden oaks and partially in wooden barrels to soften the tannins.

Tasting:

Complex nose of iris, wilted roses and black fruits that will mature to give autumn leaves, mushrooms, chocolate and spices flavours. A powerful wine with a long final.

Suggestions:

Drink it with red meat, game or French cheese.

Vieillissement :

Pourra vieillir jusqu'à 10 ans selon les millésimes. Ne pas hésiter à le carafer dans sa jeunesse pour favoriser son expression aromatique.
