The estate:
Located at the bottom of the Mont Brouilly, the Charrion family has owned this property for more than a century. Its vines in Brouilly are located on a poor granite soil.
Laurent Charrion and his wife Christine are dynamic and innovative wine growers. They mix the respect of their terroir, the use of organic fertilizers by crushing the vines shoots, with innovative wine making technology. They have been the first in the area to use stainless vats with a system of temperature control, to favour the extraction of tannins and colours. They also use a pneumatic press to make a smooth extraction of the fruity aromas of the gamay.
Tasting:
Bright ruby colour wine with a natural fruity red berries nose. A crunchy wine!
|
Suggestions :
Drink it slightly chilled (13°-15°) with chicken or beefsteack with fries.
|
Ageing:
Drink it young, within 4 years.
