Appellation |
Fleurie A.O.C.
|
| Colour |
Red |
| Grape Variety |
Gamay noir with white juice. The oldest vines are more than 100 years old but on average they are 40 years old. |
| Soil |
Decomposed pink granite. A mix of sand and pebbles. The soil is poor in clay, meaning that it is very filtering. It results in a great maturity of the grapes. |
| Wine making process |
Typical Beaujolais wine making process. Entire grapes are put into a 10-12 days semi-carbonic maceration followed by an immersion with the use of a weighted grill with a continuous control of the temperatures. For half of the harvest, the maturing period (a few month) is done in oak vats.
