Brouilly A.O.C.
|
| Colour |
Red |
| Grape variety |
Gamay noir with white juice. This wine is made up of a selection of old vines from 40 to 70 years old |
| Soil |
Decomposed pink granite with a mix of sand and pebbles. The soil contains little clay and acts as a strong filter, hence the excellent maturity of the grapes. |
| Wine making process |
Typical beaujolais whole-cluster vinification with temperature control. By means of a wooden grill, the cap is punched into the juice to ensure the best possible extraction of colour, tannin, and aromatic substance. After about 10-12 days, the fermented juice is pressed pneumatically. The wine ages for about 6 months in tanks before being bottled in Spring.
