Spotlight on the AUVIGUE WINES in the last edition of GUIDE HACHETTE DES VINS 2023

Four wines from MAISON AUVIGUE have been awarded in the 2023 edition of GUIDE HACHETTE published beginning of September:

Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru La Frérie 2020 – 2 stars
With its gold-green colour, this 1er Cru shows itself powerful with notes of butter and brioche. Nuances of orchard fruits, white flowers and honey on the palate with a perfect balance between fruits, fleshiness and fine acidity. To be served after a little ageing with a Bresse chicken cooked in a morel cream sauce. (Page 460)

Pouilly-Fuissé Les Villages 2020 – 1 star
An expressive Pouilly-Fuissé (citrus fruits, acacia, brioche), rich and vinous but never heavy as well-supported by the acidity. (Page 460)

Pouilly-Fuissé La Petite Parcelle 2020 – 1 star
Gold-green colour, this wine is aromatic (white fruits, hawthorn, grapefruit), fresh and mineral on the palate: a beautiful personality to be paired with a monkfish cooked in American style. (Page 460)

Mâcon Solutré-Pouilly 2020 – 1 star
Made from manually harvested Chardonnay, this wine has made its alcoholic fermentation and ageing in oak barrel on fine lees. The hay colour with glint of gold is promissory. The nose is not disappointing, offering a complex aromatic palette of white. (Page 454)
